How to Create and Manage a Pot?

Any Bera can become a Pot Manager by creating their own Pot.

Step 1: Creating a New Pot

  1. Enter a Pot Name.

  2. Specify the Token Name and upload a Token Image.

  3. Add a Description (max 255 characters).

  4. Set the Performance Fee (fee you would earn if your Pot make profit).

  5. Fundraising Time: Time allocated to raise Pot fund (Fixed: 5 days).

  6. Select the Pot Type:

    • Flexible: Investors can withdraw funds anytime after the locked period.

    • Non-Flexible: Investors must wait for you to close your Pot to withdraw.

  7. Locked Time: Period to secure deposits post-fundraising (Fixed: 3 days).

Step 2: Managing Your Pot

After filling in the details and launching your Pot, you'll be directed to your Pot’s page. Here, you can:

  • Deposit your own $HONEY.

  • Check all stats and relevant information.

  • Access the Manage button at the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Fundraising Period

  • Each Pot has a fixed fundraising period of 5 days.

  • As a manager, you can choose to close fundraising early if you've raised enough funds.

  • Use the Manage section to either Cancel Pot or Close Fundraising before the timer runs out.

Step 4: Selecting Pot Assets

Once fundraising is complete, you’ll be taken to the Manage page.

  • Selecting Pot Assets is essential before performing any actions with your Pot.

  • Choose from available assets and click Update.

Step 5: Connecting Your Pot and Opening a dApp

  1. After choosing your Pot Assets, select the platform you want to interact with.

  2. Click "Open DApp".

Step 6: Understanding Connection Types

There are two types of connections to third-party platforms:

  • Auto Connect: If the dApp supports Safe Wallet, your Pot will connect automatically.

  • Wallet Connect: Requires a manual connection.

Step 6.1: Connecting via Wallet Connect

If the platform requires Wallet Connect, follow these steps:

  1. Click "Open DApp" and look for the "Connect Wallet" button.

  2. Select "Wallet Connect" as the connection method.

  1. Copy the WalletConnect URL (displayed in the pop-up).

  1. Go back and paste the copied URL to the Wallet Connect button at the top right corner

  1. Approve the connection request.

  2. Your Pot is now connected.

Note: If Wallet Connect does not appear in the Connect Wallet menu, click "All Wallets", then locate and select Wallet Connect. Each platform has a different UI. We are using Kodiak as an example.

Step 7: Start Trading!

Once connected, you can start using the dApp for transactions and other activities.

Additional Tips:

  • If the dApp is connected to your personal wallet, not the Pot's wallet, disconnect and refresh the page.

  • The first time loading third-party dApps may take a few minutes.
